Description: The Salvation Army Seattle Temple is a center for worship, service, and outreach to the Greenwood community. Originally established in Pioneer Square, The Salvation Army Seattle Temple relocated to its current North Seattle location in the heart of Greenwood in 1972. The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination. At Seattle Temple, we appeal to the whole family by offering music lessons, scouting programs, an after-school program, men's and women's small groups, band and choral groups, etc. We also run a part-time social service office, assisting those in need with rental/utility assistance, emergency food, and case management. |
